About Us
Our Family
Our family moved to Pembrokeshire in 2011 having spent many years working on conservation projects abroad.
Theri is a teacher with a specialism in environmental education.
Tom is a practising vet who specialises in wildlife, birds and zoo animals.
We love living in West Wales.
We want to share our area of West Wales with our guests and also to involve them in re-naturing our smallholding.
Our Land
We are slowly renaturing and increasing biodiversity on our smallholding and we have created a Biological Action Plan for the land we steward.
The former farmland can be thought of as three zones;
- An ancient woodland nature reserve.
- Silage fields that have been planted up as a new woodland with over 7,500 trees of 21 native woodland species.
- Rough grazing meadows for sheep and campers.
We welcome campers to walk on our land following the two Nature Trails (wellies can be borrowed from the Communal Barn) and invite campers to help with onsite citizen science projects.
In addition, we are encouraging nature recovery through the following:
- Stream monitoring
- Pond creation
- Wildflower meadow management
- Hedgerow management
- Agroforestry planting in our garden
