Our Campsite

We welcome campers of all descriptions, from hikers of the coastal path and cyclists following cycle routes, to couples in need of a quiet break and families staying for a week, or more, wanting an action packed holiday.

Our campsite is small and personal and certificated to take up to ten groups with membership of the Greener Camping Club.  We list more than ten pitches, because we rotate our pitches and have different configurations of campers on pitches at different times depending on needs and ground conditions.

We are a dog-friendly campsite where assistance service dogs, supporting individuals, are always welcome and can camp free of charge. For other well-behaved, well-trained, and well-supervised dogs, we offer a limited number of dog-friendly pitches for a small daily fee. However, it is essential that you discuss and get approval for your dog to camp with you in advance. Please contact us on 07818-201769, to ensure your dog can be accommodated. What you'll love about our pitches!

All our spacious, private, tranquil pitches are located within meadow fields with lovely rural panoramic views over wooded hillsides and valleys.  

Sunrise can be stunning, especially when the mist rises from the trees or blows in from the sea.  Buzzards are often seen soaring and, if you’re fortunate, you may see peregrine falcons and red kites flying overhead.

  • Firepits provided and campfires allowed on every pitch.
  • Seating provided on every pitch.
  • Tent pitches are all on grass.
  • Non electric campervans pitches are on grass and gravel.
  • Two electric hook up pitches on grass are available for either tents or campervans.
  • One electric hook-up, completely hardstanding pitch is available for touring vans/ motorhomes/ caravans for easy drive on and off.

Recommendation on location of pitches

  • Family and friends groups: Valley View Field, Paddock Field or Flock Field
  • Mobility Requirements: Willow Bank Field or Farmyard
  • Electric Hook-up: Willow Bank Field, Farmyard or Paddock Field
  • One Night Stay (Walkers, Hikers, Cyclists, Tourers): Woodland Glade or Farmyard

Location and types of pitches

Location: Willow Bank Field

1 x grass with hardstanding pitch: tents or vehicles (Electric hook-up)

  • Buzzard pitch
  • Pitch can be used for a tent on grass with parking for a car on the hard-standing alongside.
  • Pitch can be used for a vehicle with parking on the hard-standing with room for an awning/ tent alongside on grass.
  • Maximum length of vehicle 6m.
  • Ideal for easy drive on and drive off.
  • Ideal for campers using mobility aids.

Location: Paddock Field

2 x grass pitches: tents or vehicles (Electric hook-up)
2 x grass pitches: tents or vehicles (Non-Electric)

  • Heron, Jay, Robin and Dunnock pitches.
  • Maximum length of vehicles 6m.
  • Ideal for groups of family and friends who want their own area if all 4 pitches are booked.

Location: Farmyard

1 x hardstanding pitch: vehicles only (Electric hook-up)

  • Barn owl pitch
  • Free standing awning is required and tents cannot be pitched.
  • Ideal for easy drive on and drive off.
  • Ideal for campers using mobility aids.

Valley View Field

2 x Grass with gravel pitches: tents or vehicles (Non-Electric)

  • Peregrine and Raven pitches
  • Pitches can be used for tents on grass with parking for cars on the gravel alongside.
  • Pitches can be used for campervans with parking on the gravel with room for an awning/ tent alongside on grass.
  • Maximum length of vehicles 5m.
  • Ideal for groups of family and friends who want their own area if both pitches are booked.

Location: Flock Field

6 x Grass pitches: tents or trailer tents (Non-Electric)

  • Blue tit, Goldfinch, Magpie, Nuthatch, Starling and Woodpecker pitches
  • Ideal for family and friendship groups who want ample space between pitches.

Location: Woodland Glade

2 x Grass pitches: tents or vehicles (Non-Electric)

  • Alder and Hazel pitches.
  • Maximum length of vehicles 5m.
  • One of these pitches is bookable for one night only, ideally for individuals or groups who are walking or cycling.
