Dog Policy

Trained assistance service dogs, who are working to support individuals, are always welcome and can camp free of charge. In addition, for a daily fee, a limited number of well-behaved, well-trained and well-supervised dogs can camp. However, it is essential that campers discuss with us and get approval in advance for dogs. Call Theri on 07818-201769.

If permission is given for dogs to camp, then owners must adhere to the following rules and restrictions.  These are insisted upon by our certificating body, the Greener Camping Club:

• Dogs must be kept on a lead of no more than 2 metres at all times when outside on the campsite. 
• Dogs must not be permitted to roam free on the campsite. 
• All dog breeds listed under the Dangerous Dogs Act 1991 are prohibited from Greener Camping Club campsites. Specifically this includes: a) Any dog of the type known as the pit bull terrier b) Any dog of the type known as the Japanese tosa c) Any dog of any type appearing to be bred for fighting, or to have the characteristics of a type bred for that purpose. • With the exception of assistance dogs, dogs/pets are not permitted in the facilities, or any other shared buildings on the campsite. 
• Dog/pet poo should be bagged and binned, or dealt with as directed. 
• If a dog/pet causes nuisance, eg. noise or uncontrolled behaviour, to any other campers for any reason and we are unable to resolve the issue with the dog owner, we may ask the owner to remove the dog/pet from the campsite, or ask the owner to leave the campsite. Any refund of balance of fees relating to the remaining period of a stay is decided at our discretion.
